I understand she later said it was a joke, what about her discussion would indicate anything about her comments were meant as humorous? Her tone and body language was serious and angry. No one in the discussion seem to be holding back giggles of the absurdity of her comments. Nothing led into the discussion, or left off from it, to suggest it was meant to be funny. Nothing about her said anything but," Take what I am saying seriously and as my cold, hard opinion." Which matches with the main tone she usually tries to set as her persona.
Unless Fox News wants to have this be a hint that their entire program is like the Colbert Report, minus The exaggerated expressions/ the humorous the companying images/ the sarcastic tone, Ms. Kelly is a racist. I'm sure she doesn't try to be racist, most don't. She obviously wants to be doing good things, but what she considers those to be aren't right for TV programming. She's very primitively stubborn and aggressive in her opinions, has very little exposure to other ethnics/culture or desire for their understanding, seems to listen primarily to keywords to respond towards rather than let the actual argument being given be absorbed, and has great resistance to expand her horizons in favor of keeping her own perspective in a strangled vice.
I don't say this out of rageful judgment, but instead concern. How is it healthy for anyone to keep Megan Kelly on the air?
