Mitt Romney's experience seems to show the fundamental difference between the directions each candidate would take the country. In capitalist societies failures occur. Investments yield both risk and reward. Bain like any other venture capital company has a record of some success and some failure. It is fair to examine that record in the proper context.
President Obama has recently started to up the class warfare rhetoric pitting the wealthy against the poor and middle class. The left wing of the democratic party has this idea of social justice and equality for everyone. It's roots come from socialism and Marxism. Higher taxes and more government. People cannot take care of themselves and should not be allowed to fail or experience pain. Government knows better than individuals.
Both systems have flaws. Completely uncontrolled capitalism can lead to huge gaps between rich and poor. The idea of the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer. In many ways our society favors those who already have. It is very difficult to break into the upper class if you come from the middle or lower class.
The voters will ultimately decide which direction they want the country to go. This election will offer two very different visions.
