You are Biblically Correct. Bill O'reilly maybe a self opinioned Catholic but he is not a Christian. He makes no qualms about saying that "Killing Jesus" is a history book based on ALEGORY in the Bible.
That in itself tells you he is not a man of faith and is just a follower of rules of man. He does not have a clue about heaven or ****, about faith versus works, about the Trinity as if the Holy Spirit was the magic act of inspiration, or what terms like infallible actually mean. He is enjoying the success of his book by being a finger in the eye of Christians who believe in the New Testament, not just the Word of God from Mathew, Mark, Luke and John and rewritten Ten Commandments that omit the sin of worshiping idols. He seems puzzled and personally hurt by people calling him Blasphemer almost like he does not have a clue what he has stepped into. The war of good and evil has been going on for thousands of years back to the first writings of the Babylonian religions (and before) with the Mother Semiramus and Baby Tammuz sitting on her lap and a belief in a trinity of Gods. Even Catholics do not pray to the son of God, Jesus Christ, but pray to the Mother Mary and infant Jesus sitting on her lap as INTERCESSOR. The bl_ck Madonna represents the "Spirit" of the planet. And Saints are reincarnations of Roman Gods invented by Emperor Constantine in 323 AD. So how could O'Reilly possibly know what FAITH is as opposed to WORKS of man.
He actually demonstrates this lack of understanding by inviting a female University professor onto his show who in turn is severely lacking in understanding of the New Testament and obviously is not a person of faith herself. I suppose that way we have the blind leading the blind and in his usual style "Pontificate" and interrupt his guest as if he knows what he is talking about, NOT. She meant well but she obviously was set up by O'reilly and got in the last words correctly that he just wrote about the controversial subject to cherry pick ideas to make more money on his book.
She politely criticized O'reilly for him claiming Jesus was just an ordinary man that he lived in fear all the time. She added that Jesus said, "you have to give up all your Worldly goods to the poor before you can enter Heaven." Sounds like a Liberal teaching at a Catholic University, Notre Dame. Actually Jesus was talking to a rich person and telling him before you enter Heaven you have to choose your priorities, either choose to follow your riches or follow me (Jesus the son of God).
